Montreal With My Parents

So my mum and dad came to visit us for a couple of weeks, and we headed to Montreal for a long weekend. Montreal is such a great city with plenty to see and do.

Canoeing Trip 09

The usual suspects headed to Errol, NH on a canoe and camping trip. We canoed across the Umbagog lake into Maine where we set up camp for the night. Unfortunately the wind was our enemy on the way back and everyone was glad to finally make it to the dry land. It rained on the way back too, but that kept the bugs away at least.

Manchester For My Birthday

Orla surprised me with a trip to Manchester for my birthday. She got great tickets to the Man Utd v Aston Villa game.

The whole trip was great but the game was awesome. MU won 3-2 after being down 2-1. This was the turning point for MU to go on and win the League and it was achieved with a spectacular goal in the 93rd minute by Macheda.

Manchester is a nice city with some nice places to eat. It was a lot nicer than I expected.

Winterhaven

Abby and Ryan brought us to Winterhaven to see the Christmas lights. It is a really cool neighborhood that has a "Festival of Lights" each year. They give out awards for different categories.

Tucson

Orla and I headed to Tucson to spend a couple of days with the Greens. We had a great time there. Tucson seems like a really nice city with a lot to do. We visited the DeGrazia art gallery. This was really cool (and free!). The museum is in his home which he built and which contains a cool garden and chapel. We then went for a hiking in Sabino Canyon in search of some mountain lions :)
